Midwest Living's Editorial Guidelines Published on August 5, 2023 Print Share Photo: Kelsey Hansen Hands On Time: 15 mins Total Time: 1 hr Servings: 28 Yield: 14 cups Ingredients 3 cups mini pretzels 3 cups bite-size rice square cereal 2 cups chow mein noodles 2 cups sesame sticks 2 cups dry roasted cashews or peanuts 2 cups rice crackers, broken 1 cup wasabi-flavored dried peas ¾ cup butter ¼ cup packed brown sugar 3 tablespoons soy sauce 2 tablespoons rice vinegar 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce 2 teaspoons Asian chili paste (sambal oelek) 1 teaspoon ground ginger 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon kosher salt 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper Directions Preheat oven to 250°. Line two 15×10-inch baking pans with parchment paper. In a large bowl, combine pretzels, rice square cereal, chow mein noodles, sesame sticks, cashews, rice crackers, dried peas. In a small saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar, soy sauce, rice vinegar, hoisin sauce, Asian chile paste, ginger, garlic powder, salt and crushed red pepper. Heat over low until butter melts, stirring to dissolve sugar. Pour over mixture in bowl; toss to coat. Divide mixture between prepared pans, spreading evenly. Bake 45 minutes, stirring mixture and rotating pans every 15 minutes. Cool completely on pans. Store in an airtight container up to 1 week.
